The UPSC examination for IPS and IAS officers on behalf
of the Central Government Personnel Selection Board and the examination for the
selection of students for the IPS and IAS training class for the year 2021 on
behalf of the University of Madurai is scheduled to be held on Sunday 31st
January at the Kamaraj University Campus, Madurai. It is reported that 2000

It has been reported that the number of Tamil Nadu
students who have become civil service officers through civil service
examinations has decreased significantly. According to this, 15 percent passed
last year. But it was reported to have dropped to 9 percent this year. To
rectify this, universities in Tamil Nadu are offering free training classes.
Accordingly, the examination for free training classes
for IPS and IAS examinations on behalf of Madurai Kamaraj University will be
held on 31st January at the university campus. The last date to send
applications for this exam ended yesterday. About 2,000 people have applied for
the exam so far. Only 100 students who have applied for the training class will
be selected through the entrance examination. Selection will be based on marks
and reservation.
It has been announced that 31% of the quota for the
examination will be given to the general category, 30% to the backward class,
19% to the SC / ST class, and 20% to the most backward class. Training classes
for students are scheduled to begin on February 15.
